TAB: Tom's Anime Blog

This is another new show, one for which I have read some of the manga. It features the adventures of a high-school playboy, Kippei, who's given charge of his 5-year-old niece, Yuzuyu. So far, the stories have been an introduction, and two stories regarding Yuzuyu being taunted at school for not having a mother (her mother abandoned her).

The animation on this show takes a little getting used to. It seems very stylized to me, with extremely big eyes and small necks, even for anime/manga. I also like the japanese voice acting for yuzuyu, as she's one of the few child characters that actually sounds like a child. (Although it's somewhat rare for a child that young to be an important part of the series.)

The only problem I have with this anime is that it's moving a bit slowly, with two episodes having rougly the same plot. I'm looking forward to the next episode, which promises to shake things up some.
