Rating System

Rather than using a numeric rating system, I tend to give my impression of shows using words. Here, then, is the scale I use, with what each level means.

  • Great - These are shows I consider to be the best in their genre. Shows which are both inherently outstanding, and for which I don't know of any other shows I would reccomend over them for someone interested in that sort of story. Normally, I don't promote a show to great status until I've seen it a few times and have had some time pass while still liking it.

  • Good - These are shows that are well worth watching, but which don't meat the standards I set for calling a show great. Still, these are usually very enjoyable.

  • Okay - Shows that have some flaws, but are still reasonably enjoyable to watch are called okay.

  • Watchable - These are shows which might appeal to some people, but aren't really all that good.

  • Unwatchable - Shows that are not worth having watched. This category includes shows I stopped watching in the middle, because they were that bad.

There's a lot of middle ground, especially at the high end, which I will also try to mention. Don't expect many reviews of lower-ranked shows, since I tend to avoid watching them in the first place.
