Koi Kaze #6

Koi Kaze is a hard series to rate or review, primarily due to its subject matter. It deals with the relationship between Koshiro (who I believe is around 22, but is drawn older), and his 12-year-old sister Nanoka. This series plays with the incest taboo in a dark sort of way, as compared to more comedic series like Onegai Twins.

In episode 6, Nanoka meets a boy in her class, who mentions that people in her class think that she has a brother-complex. She roundly denies it, in a "me think the lady doth protest too much" moment. He later walks her home from school, which leads to her brother forbidding her from dating for the next ten years. For the next few days, they avoid each other, but eventually he relents and their relationship improves.

What's the appeal of this series? We know that the lives of the main characters are going to turn into some sort of train wreck, but we can't look away.

I'll call this episode good, but add the caveat that this series is definitely not for everyone. It's not hentai or even ecchi, but it does deal with mature subject matter in a realistic (or at least non-comedic) manner, which may make a lot of people uncomfortable.

Gen:
She's not 12 years old, she's 12 years younger than him - you probably saw a bad translation. She's actually 15 which makes her legal in japan. Koshiro is 27. Just a precision.
