True Love Story is a 3-episode long adaptation of a bishoujo game into an anime. It focuses on a guy who reunites with his childhood sweetheart.

The problem with TLS is that there's nothing special here to recommend it. There was no reason to get interested in these characters. The creators also gave each of the girls from the game a few scenes, but with 5+ girls and 3 episodes, that's a problem.

I'll rate TLS somewhere between watchable and okay. It's not that there's anything overly wrong with this series, it's that there are far more interesting offerings in the same genre.

For a better story in the same universe, check out Fred "Piro" Gallagher's envelope, which actually does the right thing by focusing on the main two characters.
