What regular readers there are too this site may notice I tend to give many things a "good" rating, so I thought I should give a number of reasons why this is.
I reserve the "great" rating for stuff that holds up it's greatness on a rewatching. So some of the good stuff is on the road to greatness.
I primarily review things right after watching them. I'm not going to bother watching a bad, or merely okay, show, so they don't get reviewed.
I'm pretty good at picking shows that appeal to me, and I tend to use other
people's reviews to weed out shows that I don't think will be very good.
Now, what good are my reviews, then? Well, as I watch more new stuff, I'll probably give some bad reviews. But until then, I think even my good reviews will help people deterimine if a show will appeal to them.
Anyway, that's my current thinking on the subject. If you have an opinion, let me know about it in the comments.
